Louise Denson Group – Latin! released their first CD Flame Tree at the Brisbane Festival Spiegeltent in Sept 2010. Flame Tree features repertoire ranging from boogaloo to bolero, from samba to salsa, celebrating Louise's long-standing engagment with Latin and South American rhythms. The compositions feature her trademark melodicism and romantic harmonic sense, with "Sparring, Sparing", "Another Cup" and "Mercurio" all being Highly Commended at the 2010 QSong Awards. This popular ensemble comprises 7 top Brisbane musicians, renowned for their musicality and versatility. The group appeared at the Brisbane Jazz Festival (Nov 2010) and is looking forward to a number of festival appearances and gigs in 2011.  LDG - Latin! |
