About The Included Collective |

The Included Collective is a group of friends who improvise who have been doing recording projects and live shows for the last few years. An initiative of multi-instrumentalist John Stefulj (winds, bass percussion, guitar, voice, rubber chicken, cardboard box, etc), members for the moment are many, including myself (keyboards, vox, percussion, winds, banjo, etc), Lindsay Stafford (recording engineer, keyboards, vox, bicycle horns and bells, etc), Jose McLaughlin (guitar, bass, keyboards, vox, percussion, etc), and Katie Dauth (winds, vox, percussion, etc). A session could be some or all of us, with or without others – hence the name, which intends to include all of like mind and inclination. Our music is fresh, unexpected, melodic, textural, grave, hilarious, non-functional, important. John and I have recorded as a duo, performing improvisations based on composed works (by John, myself and Joff Bush), as well as some free play.
